This team includes board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, case managers, behavioral health navigators, and additional clinical support staff, all working together to provide exceptional patient-centered care. The department features a 44-bed emergency department with four dedicated trauma bays and is designated as a Level III Trauma Center, with additional support from two affiliated freestanding emergency departments—Atrium Health Kannapolis and Atrium Health Harrisburg—that feed into Cabarrus.
