The position is an industrial, physically active role requiring routine lifting, operation of large destruction machinery, vehicle operation, equipment inspection, minor jam-clearing and maintenance activities, and strict compliance with security and safety procedures. The Destruction Center Operator performs the physical collection, transportation, sorting, safeguarding, destruction, and documentation of classified information, Restricted Data, CUI, and other sensitive materials generated throughout Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
