The postdoctoral fellow can focus the project in any of several related areas (epithelial biology, immunological networks, metabolomics, epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk, and/or transcriptomics/proteomics) using 2 novel published models of lung injury and fibrosis (see https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29920187; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30910861; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30721158 . In addition to the unique mouse reagents, the successful candidate will have access to a variety of cutting edge technologies including RNAseq, single cell and ATAC RNAseq, high resolution proteomics, CRISPR mediated screens, lineage tracing, organoid assays, and iPS cells to identify pathways critical for lung tissue repair and regeneration.
