JOB OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Equipment Maintenance Foreman, the Equipment Technician inspects, services, and repairs electrical, electronic, mechanical, structural, and hydraulic systems for ship to shore cranes (STS), rail mounted gantry cranes (RMG), rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG), shuttle trucks, and associated equipment. To include: DC and AC circuits, motors, drive systems, generators, alternators, programmable logic controllers, limit switches, lights, resistor banks, wiring and alarm systems, fiber-optic cables, load cell systems, hydraulic systems, gear reducers, fans, bearings, clutches, wheels, brakes, drums, wire ropes, and diesel engines.
