Physical requirements include excellent vision, hand and arm movements to shift open door, etc., and the ability to assist with lifting heavy equipment possibly up to 100 pounds or more. Must possess or qualify to possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) plus the P Passenger endorsement, airbrake qualification, and the DOT physical examination.

This position is a mechanic within the facilities department. When needed this position will occasionally drive our buses as well as working side by side with other facility employees.RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Functions -
This employee will be primarily serving as a mechanic with occasional bus driving assignments.
Maintain and repair buses smaller vehicles.
Help maintain a safe and dependable motor pool fleet.
Maintain tools and supply inventory for HutchCC buses and vehicles.
Transport college groups to functions both in and out of town.
The ability to adjust work schedule to maintain a minimum of 40 hours per week while minimizing overtime when possible.
Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
Serve actively on campus committees.Secondary -

Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
