Knowledge of techniques and requirements in safely operating a passenger bus, specialized van, or other Departmental vehicles including defensive driving techniques; traffic safety laws, procedures, and requirements; geography and layout of Athens-Clarke County (including street names, school locations, etc), federal commercial drivers license regulations, relevant bus routes, and relevant unified government and departmental rules and regulations. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: picking up and dropping off passengers, collecting fares, operating a vehicle along prescribed routes, transporting paratransit/demand response passengers, providing good customer service, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
