Provides guidance and direction to mechanics in repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures such as cowlings, fuselage, and functional components, including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills. Work closely with safety and quality inspectors to support the inspection of engines and associated components for airworthiness, to ensure repair or replacement of defective engine parts, as well as the removal and installation of engines onto the aircraft.
