Thorough knowledge of treatment court models, treatment case management approaches, drug testing processes, service referral, available community resources, common mental health and substance use disorder diagnosis, leadership principles, team dynamics, conflict resolution strategies, adult/juvenile justice systems, court processes, and laws governing probation and pretrial release compliance and sanctions. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; conduct factual analysis of case information and field observations; maintain confidentiality in managing sensitive legal issues and cases; operate a variety of office machines and computer systems; and develop effective working relationships with elected officials, legal professionals, agitated/aggressive people and the public.
