Performs field inspections of grading, temporary erosion and sediment controls, water, wastewater, stormwater, driveways, pavement, sidewalks, and vertical building construction and related systems, as well as traffic control/work zone safety, related to CIP projects. Under limited supervision, the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Construction Inspector performs complex work inspecting the construction associated with capital improvement projects to ensure the safety, economy, and compliance of projects through plans, specification, various codes, and departmental policies.
