Working directly with K-12 students demonstrating severe or chronic behavioral challenges, emotional dysregulation, or academic disengagement, the Specialist implements and monitors proactive behavior intervention and academic plans to minimize classroom disruptions, reduce disciplinary exclusions, reduce academic disengagement, and foster a safe, positive learning environment. Work regularly requires working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to outdoor weather conditions and exposure to vibration and occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and exposure to blood-borne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
