Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and manages the staff of a major functional area of the Sheriff’s Office; participates in the development of policies and strategies for division operations; manages the effective use of division or unit resources to improve organizational productivity and public service; provides complex and responsible support to assigned management personnel in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned. Participates in the development, administration, and oversight of division budget; directs the division budgets and maintains control over the fiscal management program; determines funding needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; ensures compliance with budgeted funding.
