p>Under the direction of the Radiology Manager and/or physician reading the study, performs all types of general ultrasound procedures, echocardiograms, and non-invasive vascular procedures utilizing independent judgement and initiative. p>What you will need (Required): Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years clinician experience in intra-operative procedures acquired from Registered Nursing Degree curriculum (RN), or in positions such as Radiologic Technologist (RT), Operating Room Technician (ORT), or Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS) or related medical device, clinical, or Certification in RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) within ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) OR equivalent experience based on Edwards criteria. Represent the Clinical Affairs Research Team during clinical trial cases with investigating physicians, hospital staff and clinical research coordinators by providing on-site, real-time guidance during clinical trial implants, including contingency planning to address unforeseen occurrences in support of assigned clinical investigations.
p>• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or registry eligible • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registered or registry eligible • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registered or registry eligible • Must obtain Cardiac or Vascular registry within 1 year of hiring, both preferred • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to patient care • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. Accesses the patients condition Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures Assists physicians with procedures Assists in the maintenance of patient ultrasound exam information.
License/Certifications: ARDMS-RDMS (ARDMS-REGISTERED DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER) OR ARDMS-RDCS (REGISTERED DIAGNOSTIC CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER) OR ARDMS-RVT (ARDMS-REGISTERED VASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST). p>LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Performs imaging procedures independently by interpreting the order, assessing the patient, completing necessary paperwork, positions the patient, selecting appropriate equipment and supplies, selecting accurate technique factors, processes and prepares films for interpretation. Generates patient requisitions through order entry, assigns x-ray numbers, markings the film with the correct patient information, pulls folders, files reports, flies folders, and acknowledges patient charges.
