Join Our Dynamic Mother/Baby Unit as a Travel RN!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Overland Park, KS - **Unit Name:** Post Partum - **Shift Schedule:** 7PM - 7AM **Unit Specifics:** - Number of Beds: 26 - Patient Ratios: 6-8 patients - Staffing Description: RNs on duty with no unit secretary; PCT support in cases of short staffing - Equipment: Vitals machine, glucometer, computer, TCB, postpartum supplies - Documentation System: CPN, Meditech - Scheduling Requirements: - Varies, typically 2 hard-to-staff shifts (Mon/Fri) - 1 full weekend requirement every 3rd week plus 1 additional weekend - On Call Requirements: None - Floating Policy: Within women’s services unless cross-trained to pediatrics and/or NICU **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Must have experience in post-partum, LDRP, well-baby nursery, recoveries, and attending births for babies **Qualifications:** - **Must-Have Certifications:** BLS, NRP - **Education:** Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred - **Skill Set:** - Ability to recognize unit workflow, processes, policies, and procedures within the postpartum unit - Assess and identify risk factors related to sepsis, VTE/DVT, suicide, malignant hyperthermia, and pressure injuries - Provide discharge education and assessments - Manage pain effectively, prioritize care needs based on patient acuity **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Black scrub pants and Caribbean blue scrub top, vest, or jacket **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
