For CBB - continuously walk up & down the main aisles of the walkways looking for trash or anything that stands out (broken chair, dirty table etc), check on the sand/picnic table area for any trash or cups to maintain a clean waiting area for guests to relax. For CBB - speak to an MOD if needing to begin a wait list, the MOD will direct you on the wait time and when to remove the wait list, make sure to take the necessary process of adding them to our Yelp Wait-List App on the Ipad.

POSITION SUMMARYThe incumbent in this position is responsible for setting the pace and flow of the entire restaurant. Host/Hostess must greet & seat guests with a smile and a positive attitude at all times at the Casino Beach Bar & Grille/Drift. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions.) <ol><li>Greet the customers in a professional mannerism, as customers for both Casino Beach Bar & Grill and Drift will come up to the CBB host stand. For Drift diners, direct them towards the elevator or back to the stairwell entrance around on the pier. For CBB diners, walk them towards an assigned table or at the bar. </li><li>Must have a pleasant tone of voice for proper phone etiquette - must sound welcoming and helpful. </li><li>For CBB - speak to an MOD if needing to begin a wait list, the MOD will direct you on the wait time and when to remove the wait list, make sure to take the necessary process of adding them to our Yelp Wait-List App on the Ipad. </li><li>For Drift - you must have the ability to work an ipad and become proficient with the open table app for reservations/seating/managing flow of customers/blocking off dates/times for special events. </li><li>For CBB - take to-go orders over the phone in a kind manner and ensure accuracy when ringing in the order, including any to-go fees. As well as ensuring the to-go order is all accounted for and bagged correctly when the customer arrives for pickup. </li><li>Watering the flowers or filling the vases is part of the daily tasks of a Host/Hostess. </li><li>For CBB - continuously walk up & down the main aisles of the walkways looking for trash or anything that stands out (broken chair, dirty table etc), check on the sand/picnic table area for any trash or cups to maintain a clean waiting area for guests to relax. </li></ol>WORKING CONDITIONSMust have the ability to: <ul><li>Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers alike. </li><li>Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds, the severity depends upon customer volume. </li><li>Move effectively and efficiently throughout the restaurant floor and in the bar areas. </li><li>Food and Drink Menu knowledge for proper To-Go order taking </li><li>If under the age of 18, DO NOT SELL OR TOUCH ALCOHOL. If the other Host/Hostess on duty is of age let them sell and serve the customers, if neither are of age then cash out customers' food order and send them over to the bar for purchases of alcoholic beverages. </li></ul>JOB QUALIFICATIONSMust meet established department appearance standards. The skills and abilities necessary to perform within this position are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related experience.REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIn addition to the other duties described herein, each and every employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: <ul><li>Attend required training sessions offered by the Casino Beach Bar & Grille/Drift. </li><li>Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. </li><li>Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to drink or loiter in restaurant areas. </li><li>Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department. </li><li>Consult HR Handbook and Policy Manuals for guidance. </li><li>Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management </li></ul>
