Support the Control Room Operator in the operation, maintenance, inspection and monitoring of combined cycle power plant equipment, including combustion turbine-generators, heat recovery steam generators, steam turbine-generator, auxiliary boiler, control systems, cooling tower, water treatment facilities, environmental control and balance-of-plant equipment, in accordance with company policy, approved procedures and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Monitor plant water chemistry/quality parameters by performing laboratory tests at various stages in the treatment process including tests for total dissolved solids, conductivity, alkalinity, hardness, pH value, turbidity, silt density index, silica, iron, manganese and aluminum content, soluble salts, free chlorine and dissolved oxygen content, total organic carbon and other tests as necessary to maintain desired water quality.
