They are recognized leaders in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and include PAs in the performance of an expansive range of cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement (including TAVR), aneurysm repairs, arrhythmia ablation, and even ECMO. The CTICU PAs work with a significant amount of autonomy managing post-operative and critically ill cardiothoracic surgery patients, including ECMO, mechanical ventilation, vasopressor support, and cardiac monitoring.
li>Participate in community service responsibilities of the department in such areas as providing neurological care for indigent patients and teaching or advising lay community groups in multiple areas relating to movement disorders, including deep brain stimulation, in coordination with the Department of Neurosurgery. Qualifications:
MD Candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency, be board certified or eligible in neurology; have completed a fellowship in movement disorder or related clinical neurosciences and be eligible for a New Jersey License.
