Restocks routine medication administration related supplies for nurse and may have access to non-controlled patient medications; is required to ensure unattended storage device within a patient’s room is secure and locked at all times to prevent unauthorized access; is required to alert pharmacy or nursing personnel if unsecured medications are found. Assists with patient's elimination needs: Bedpan/urinal, bowel/bladder retraining, collect/test specimens, perineal/catheter care, applies condom caths, enemas (non-medicated), empties drainage devices from body cavities/wounds, and measures and records output.
