Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - CVICU** **Job Description:** - **Unit Name:** CVICU - **Location:** Nashville, TN - **Number of Beds:** 16 - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:2 - 1:1 for certain device patients - **Unit Staffing Description:** - Free floating charge nurse to assist staff - Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech available M-F 0730-1530 - Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts assisting nurses with tech duties - **Type of Equipment:** - Phillips bedside telemetry monitors - Hill-Rom beds - Alaris IV pumps - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - 2 weekends/month - 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) - 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) - **Floating Policy:** - C/L employees float as needed, typically to other ICUs, but can include other floors - **Patient Experience Requirements:** None specific **Hiring Profile:** - **Requested Skill Set:** - Must have strong critical care experience, including CVICU - Advanced skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required - Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS - Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, etc. - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS - **Dress Code:** - Scrubs: black, red, or galaxy blue - Scrub jackets/vests only **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - See Attached **Awards/Recognition:** - HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner - Daisy Award Recipient **Additional Information:** - 16 bed CVICU with 5 full-time surgeons performing high volume and advanced cardiac surgeries - Specializes in post-operative cardiac surgery care and devices - Intensivist assigned to unit 24/7 - Strong driven team of nurses with excellent teamwork **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
