The instructor should be comfortable teaching and demonstrating color, chemical, facials, waxing, haircuts, client consultations, customer service, manicures, pedicures, polish application, gel polish, proper use of tools and equipment, and appropriate sanitation and disinfection procedures. In addition to cosmetology instruction, the instructor must have strong knowledge of the administrative aspects of filing, testing, counseling, and completing all final paperwork students need to finish programs.
