Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications: + 2 years of related experience + A High School diploma or equivalent + Must have a valid state-issued driver's license + This position requires the physical capabilities to work outside while traversing uneven terrain, to climb ladders, and maintain standing positions Preferred Qualifications: + Technical Institute graduate or relevant Associate degree + TAB (Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing) of air and hydronic systems + Building Automation System/Direct Digital Controls operation + Maximo or other Computer Maintenance Management System software + Building Commissioning/Start-Up process + Skills in utilizing electronic work request systems/tracking for tablets or Smartphones + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds **Hazardous Working Conditions/Environment** + Position will require working around high noise, radiation, chemicals, asbestos, lasers, carcinogens, and other industrial hazards. As a condition of employment, unless otherwise exempted, the staff member will be required to join the appropriate union affiliated with the Hanford Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) after 30 days of continuous service and pay union dues or pay agency fees to such union in lieu of joining **Responsibilities** The **Stationary Operating Engineer** operates and maintains building systems equipment, e.g., steam engines, air compressors, air dryers, chillers, condensers, vacuum pumps, generators, motors, water treatment systems, fans and boilers to provide utilities, such as light, heat, ventilation, or power, for building operation; monitors meters and gauges and adjusts controls of equipment to verified operating conditions.
