Processes refills and performs data entry of new prescriptions including demographics, insurance plans, and prescription information under the supervision of a pharmacist; brings to the attention of a pharmacist any claims requiring overrides or interventions; troubleshoots insurance claim rejects; and follows up on problem prescriptions. The position requires routine interaction within clinic liaisons, clinic coordinators, pharmacists and providers, as well as pharmacy patients with complex medication needs requiring high touch care and follow up.
