The Pathologist Assistant, under general supervision of a pathologist, independently performs or assists in accessioning, dissection, evisceration, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens. Serves as a key communication liaison among pathology, physicians, nurses, laboratory teams, and other clinical departments regarding specimen-related matters.
