The Clinical Material Specialist will post cases and review charges (requiring clinical knowledge of surgical cases), reorder implants or grafts, fulfill Joint Commission/FDA requirements for tissue management, monitor OR equipment, manage supplier partner relations with the OR, and constantly navigate surgeon requests for equipment, implants, and trials. In addition, they are responsible for the coordination of activities between the surgeon, multiple vendors, value analysis, supply chain, sterile processing, tissue banks, surgical services, and business management to ensure surgical patients have the appropriate necessities at the right time in the safest and most cost efficient manner.
