The successful candidate will typically teach five to six courses per academic year, drawn from the undergraduate certificate in aerospace engineering (such as aerodynamics, propulsion, flight mechanics, aerospace structures and materials, and stability and control), required and elective mechanical engineering courses, and senior capstone design. Aerospace is among Georgia's largest export sectors, and the state has a concentrated aerospace presence that includes Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Delta TechOps in Atlanta, Robins Air Force Base in middle Georgia, and Archer Aviation in Covington.
