Core Requirements for Candidacy:

We are looking for elite clinicians who meet the following strict criteria:

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in the U.S.
• Proven expertise in delivering therapy and assessments effectively in a virtual format.

Conduct psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments for clients across the lifespan, with a focus on diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, mood disorders, learning and cognitive challenges). Maintain a diverse clinical caseload, with flexibility to develop areas of specialization (e.g., child/adolescent therapy, trauma, anxiety disorders).

This position entails the provision of direct clinical services to students, including conducting Initial Consultations, evaluation and treatment of individuals and student couples, group counseling, crisis intervention, liaison/outreach activities, community consultation, and crisis management. The Boston site serves the in-person needs of approximately 2,500 professional students on the Boston Health Sciences Campus, supports through virtual means the needs of roughly 400 medical students in the Maine medical track, and provides back-up virtual support for the Grafton Campus.

p>In this role, you'll serve as a clinical thought leader and interdisciplinary partner, helping teams deliver individualized, integrated care that promotes safety, growth, and meaningful outcomes. We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is passionate about supporting students with brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders.

p>The Psychologist works under the Director of the Diagnostic Services Department and is responsible for completing psychological/neuropsychological testing, reviewing and signing reports, and conducting supervision and training of all Psychometrists in the region/state.

The following are duties and responsibilities that the Psychologist shall provide:

• To provide comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological and/or psychoeducational evaluations of clients with referral concerns related to learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or social difficulties.

p>The effective School Psychologist is aware of and up to date on effective instructional processes, understands classroom and school environments, is cognizant and capable of operating within schools and collaborating with State agencies, applies principles of learning to the development of student competence both within and outside of school, consults with educators and other professionals regarding cognitive, affective, social and behavioral performance of students, assesses developmental needs and develop educational plans that meet those diverse needs, coordinates and interfaces with educational, psychological and behavioral health services, intervenes to provide clinical support at the individual, group, school and district level, as needed and develops effective partnerships with parents and community members within the context of the MADESE regulations for general and special education and the Westwood Public Schools policies and procedures.

Day-to-day job responsibilities will include: performing psychological assessments/testing/evaluations, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, evaluating treatment plans, providing therapy, documentation, and making referrals for additional treatment needs.

p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• The School Psychologist will conduct evaluations, prepare and present evaluation reports, participate in the Team meeting process and provide counseling/therapeutic services for at risk students.

  EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION:

  • A degree from an institution approved by the State Board of Education will be required, in addition to a background of experience, which is broad and varied.
