Create and approve final work instructions for development and production hardware * Generate estimates for new hardware and enter into the quoting system * Participate and or lead Design for Manufacturing meetings * Support production activities by getting answers to process questions and working through established processes to resolve product non-conformance issues * Implement of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets Qualifications you must have * A bachelor"s degree in mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or associates degree with direct experience is preferred * 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving heavy CNC machining/programming. 10 or more years of Manufacturing Experience may be substituted for degree * Manufacturing experience in a machine shop environment while possessing intimate solid understanding of manual machine methods (tool selection, speeds, feeds, HP) * Hands on experience running CNC Mills, Lathes, EDM, or Grinding equipment * Understanding the impact of programmed tool path, therefore proven experience machining parts from start to finish using manual turning and milling operations is highly desirable * Specific knowledge and experience in CAD/CAM technology and methodology specifically NX, Mastercam, Espirit, and Mazatrol.
