Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Codes inpatient medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM. Groups for MS-DRG assignment and optimization following coding guidelines.</li><li>Assembles and analyzes medical records timely and accurately for quantitative deficiencies.</li><li>Maintains master index and other logs.  Assists with record studies and projects.</li><li>Completes Clinical Documentation Improvement process including querying providers as deemed necessary.</li><li>Analyzes charts for Quality Assurance.</li><li>Assists with other responsibilities of the HIM Department.</li><li>Answers and directs telephone calls; takes and relays messages; greets public and staff; ability to multitask. Qualifications:
