Assists higher-level workers with operation & maintenance of low-pressure boilers (e.g., clean/repair tubes, replace gaskets, remove scale/soot, & check functionality); Cleans boiler-related equipment (e.g., feed water pumps, oil pumps, motors, turbines, air compressors, water regulators, fans, & water softeners). What you'll do as a Facility Maintenance Specialist 1: Under general direction of Administrative Officer 1 in the Facility Services, complete basic preventative maintenance, repairs & installations on electrical wiring systems, fixtures & controls, plumbing systems, HVAC& mechanical equipment & structural systems.
