Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays Seeking a Charge Entry Specialist for our practice that will compile charge/billing information, assists in coding and enters charges into the practice management system. What you will do in this role: <ul><li>Receives and reviews charge documents for accuracy and enters charges into practice management system. Balances Charge Summary to tickets keyed before updating charges </li><li>Works with A/R and payers on denials/rejections. </li><li>Extracts information from medical records, operative notes, hospital admissions, consults, progress notes and discharges. </li><li>Coordinates with front office staff on payment/billing issues. </li><li>Identifies quality issues with registration and scheduling activities. </li><li>Perform other duties as required </li><li>Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures </li><li>Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement. </li><li>Practices certified as Patient Center Medical Home include these additional job duties: </li><li>Coordinates continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities and referrals from the primary care provider to a specialty care provider. </li><li>Participates on a team for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits and programmatic evaluation related to Patient Centered Medical Home. </li></ul>What Qualifications you will need: EDUCATION: <ul><li>No education requirements </li></ul>EXPERIENCE: <ul><li>One to two years of coding, billing and charge entry experience in the health care field is required. </li></ul> Supporting HCA Healthcare's 186 hospitals and 2,400+ sites of care, Physician Services plays a crucial role as the main entry point for patients looking for high-quality healthcare within the HCA Healthcare system.
