Preps charts the day before or morning of surgery, including, but not limited to: gathering ER notes, op-notes, office notes from other providers, review present chart to asses types of documents needed for the day, what x-rays are indicated, and read the provider’s previous notes for directions. The Medical Assistant will perform all general MA duties (room patients, record vital signs, enter/update medications, verify allergies and list reaction, etc.).
