We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events Specialist to join our team and manage our event planning and execution efforts.We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Events Specialist to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events for our development team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to post-event evaluation, ensuring that each event aligns with our mission and fundraising goals. Your expertise will be essential in creating memorable and impactful experiences that engage our supporters and advance our cause.Responsibilities could include:Event Planning: Develop and execute a range of events, including fundraising galas, community outreach activities, and donor appreciation events. Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, logistics, and vendor coordination.Budget Management: Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring that events are executed within financial parameters. Track expenses and report on budget performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.Coordination & Execution: Oversee day-of-event logistics, including setup, coordination of staff and volunteers, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Ensure that all event activities run smoothly and according to plan.Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with Community Relations for marketing and promotional strategies to drive attendance and engagement for events.Donor Engagement: Work closely with the development team to engage and recognize donors through events. Develop strategies to build and strengthen relationships with supporters and sponsors.Vendor & Volunteer Management: Coordinate with vendors, including caterers, decorators, and entertainers, to ensure high-quality service and adherence to event specifications. Collaborate with Community Relations to recruit, train, and manage event volunteers to support various functions.Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success and impact of each event. Gather feedback from attendees, analyze performance metrics, and make recommendations for future improvements.Community Relations Collaboration: Work with Community Relations team to represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote our mission. As part of this structured one-year program, the trainee will learn to champion First Security Bank's leadership principles as presented through Bank Better University's Leadership Training. The trainee will gain a strong understanding of retail management practices through hands-on training focused on branch operations, regulatory compliance, and branch sales performance. Additionally, participation in various leadership and procedural training courses is required throughout the program. This position requires on-site work. QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Part of the training process will include their observation of the manager making both minor and major decisions in the workplace. They will learn how to discipline and evaluate employees' performance for all retail staff. Ability to rapidly assess any situation, weigh the pros and cons of various approaches, and make an educated and informed decision.
