The HCDS II is responsible for implementing and enforcing the most critical and sensitive issues of a greater scope that impact housing by implementing and enforcing various state housing, planning, and land use laws, including, but not limited to, Transit-Oriented Development laws, Housing Element Law, the Housing Accountability Act, Density Bonus Law, the Housing Crisis Act, Streamlined Ministerial Approval, and others. Under the general direction of Supervisor II, the Housing and Community Development Specialist II (HCDS II) works independently and with a high level of responsibility to provide complex technical assistance, policy analysis, and research and enforcement within the Housing Accountability Unit.
