While visiting field locations, the employee may be required to work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. For the six semester internship, initial day to day activities for individuals who have not previously interned with Bahnson Mechanical Systems will report to the Winston Salem Preconstruction Staff and will include 3D system modeling, load calculation, system sizing and layout, system integration, estimating, submittal preparation and review, as well as other tasks.
