Sets up forms with proper pitch and depth in which concrete is poured to create sidewalks, walls, pillars, and other structures: • Properly cleans and strips forms; • Must be able to accurately judge slump, including the proper calculating and ordering of concrete; • Maintains a clean job site, picks up all tools and equipment, and secures job site daily to eliminate potential hazards; • Introduces rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the material and installs expansion joints; • Saw cuts concrete and asphalt; • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in in heavy highway and other construction projects; • Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task; • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times; and. Job Summary: The Concrete Finisher smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete, such as driveways, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
