Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs manual labor necessary to conduct maintenance and construction projects including, but not limited to; patches asphalt and concrete roads; lays pipe and tile; builds drainage structures; mows and clears rights-of-way; spreads rock for gravel roads; digs and cleans ditches; performs shoulder construction and maintenance; routes and seals cracks, repairs, maintains and builds bridges and culverts; replaces road signs.
Operates a variety of equipment and machinery used in maintenance and construction projects to include heavy truck, router, air compressor, jack hammer, concrete saw, chainsaw, wood chipper, skid loader, end loader, lawn mower, excavator or dozer, scissor and aerial lift, boom/brush mower, hauling oversized loads, tanker truck, jetter, paving screed, boom truck, sheep foot.
