LocationLocation: This role will be based on‑site at the project in Los Gatos, CA.ResponsibilitiesPerform quantity inspections by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and workBuild strong, collaborative relationships with craft and staff to support effective communication and successful project executionAssist in the preparation of work plans and work packagesAssist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as‑built dataAssist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheetsAssist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety trainingOrder and schedule material deliveriesPlan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsiteSupervise field operationsQualifications2+ years' construction field experience, preferably in Heavy Civil construction (roadway, concrete, asphalt, earthworks, bridge, rail, water or wastewater)Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related fieldAbility to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documentsHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeDemonstrated commitment to ethics and integrityPassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel and relocate as neededStrong organization, time management, and attention to detailOther RequirementsWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively.
