p>Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Ensure the safety of the work environment at all times by complying with Safety policies, rules and regulations • Manage work crews and ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and per job specifications • Plan and coordinate daily operations in conjunction with project Superintendent including scheduling, materials ordering/inventory, and equipment needs/maintenance • Report labor, equipment and materials used • Analyze and report actual costs to budget • Communicate with other parties on the project including Superintendent, Project Manager, Engineers, Inspectors, Vendors and Construction Managers • Train employees in proper and safe procedures, leading by example • Read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive construction experience • OSHA 10 (OHSA 30 preferred) • Must pass post-offer drug screening and be subject to random, post-incident/accident and reasonable suspicion testing (Drug Free Employer) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time with record acceptable under companys insurance • Ability to rapidly learn computer and software applications for record keeping and reporting • Ability to travel out of town to worksites throughout NY and VT is required including night and weekend work as required • Proven leadership and supervisory abilities.
