A Carter Lumber Commercial Multi Family Field Superintendent is responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision for all large commercial multifamily-based jobs. This is accomplished by keeping lines of communication and information open between management and the field to ensure production is done in an accurate and timely manner.

A Carter Lumber Commercial Multi Family Field Superintendent is responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision for all large commercial multifamily-based jobs. This is accomplished by keeping lines of communication and information open between management and the field to ensure production is done in an accurate and timely manner. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position. Responsibilities<ul><li>Understanding of project goals and contractual requirements prior to project commencement.</li><li>Review project estimate and construction documents in advance. </li><li>Ordering of materials, scheduling deliveries and onsite material management to reduce waste.</li><li>Validate schedule progression and adherence, and product quality.</li><li>Oversee subcontractors to ensure installation complies with manufacturers written installation instructions. </li><li>Complete one (1) Jobsite Inspection report for each day on jobsite using Pronto Forms.  Copy of which shall be distributed by day’s end to all Team Members.</li><li>Perform one (1) Jobsite Safety Inspection, per jobsite, per week, using Pronto Forms.  All safety concerns to be immediately corrected onsite and communicated to the Office. </li><li>Include manufacturer representatives for onsite preconstruction conferences to ensure everyone has a proper understanding of installation requirements. (DuPont Tyvek, Huber Zip products, Cement Siding, Windows)</li><li>Perform a punch list as it relates to our work and ensure its completion prior to project closeout. </li><li>Aids in resolving any issues/conflicts relating to construction activities.</li><li>Review and authorize subcontract draw amounts and work completed (payment by Office).</li><li>Work with Client’s field personnel closely and professionally so that customer satisfaction is maintained.  Any jobsite delays or changes shall be communicated via e-mail with Client.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Previous experience as a Field Superintendent or similar role in commercial multifamily construction projects.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and regulations.</li><li>Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.</li><li>Proficiency in construction management software.</li><li>Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.</li></ul>Benefits (full-time employees) <ul><li>Health, Dental, Vision (Single and Family Plans) available after 30 days of employment </li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Company-paid life insurance and AD&D </li><li>Optional supplemental life insurance </li><li>Company-match 401(k) </li><li>Vacation time and paid holidays </li><li>Vendor incentives </li><li>Room for growth; we promote from within!</li><li>Military encouraged to apply!</li></ul>

Recognize and communicate to Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or any need for concern.

Job descriptionPurpose The basic function of the Electrical Superintendent is to provide on-site administrative and technical management of the related activities including necessary planning, organization, direction, coordination and control for all field personnel in a manner that supports the profit and growth objectives of the company.RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Supervise the operations on the construction sites</li><li>Monitor the short-term and long-term schedule</li><li>Reviews, and supports the hiring needs</li><li>Quality control & coordination responsibilities with other trades</li><li>Train, manage and evaluate project team members</li><li>Ability to assist Project Manager prepare construction schedules</li><li>Make daily schedules for proper manpower utilization</li><li>Maintain daily reports, time sheets, safety and accident reports</li><li>Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts</li><li>Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work</li><li>Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs</li><li>Coordinate work with Purchasing to insure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of project</li><li>Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards</li><li>Recognize and communicate to Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or any need for concern</li><li>Responsible for empowering, training and helping with the growth and development of all field employees</li><li>Responsible for the counseling of employees, including the writing/filing and follow-up or corrective measures to be taken for each offense</li><li>Responsible for ensuring that the proper paperwork and counseling has been recorded prior to any employee being notified of a lay off or termination</li><li>Responsible for ensuring that all installations are correct per NEC, city codes and engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>Wear Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).</li><li>Adhere, enforce, and promote workplace safety procedures as outlined in the safety handbook.</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Knowledge of administration and management.
