erection of safety barricades; Investigates and determines the cause of cellar and street flooding;
Maintains records and reports on investigations and completion of work;
Operates truck in the performance of work when necessary;
Performs related duties as required.
Good knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the construction and maintenance of the Citys sewer systems including trench excavation, backfilling, repaving and general safety practices;
Good knowledge of tools and equipment used in sewer maintenance and cleaning and repairing;
Mechanical aptitude;
Ability to supervise the work of others;
Ability to be trained in the operation and maintenance of television cameras used when problems arise in sewer system;
Ability to establish effective working relationships with others;
Ability to follow oral and written directions;
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
