Role Expectations: <ul><li>Field Support to Resolve Problems – Being Proactive</li><li>Must do Reporting – Weekly Report, Monthly Reports, tracking of weekly PayId’s completed. </li><li>Monitor Schedule - Look Ahead vs. PM</li><li>Attend the contractor’s Safety, Environment and Quality meetings; provide a tip in theonsite meeting.</li><li>Maintain and update as needed the onsite H&S, Environment and Quality project binder.</li><li>Be organized, and document all project progress to provide a good paper trail</li><li>Review contractor invoices and schedules and provide feedback.</li><li>Conduct weekly project progress meeting. Request the contractor two week look aheadschedule at each weekly meeting.</li><li>Present onsite when work is being performed (make frequent observation of contractor’sactivities).</li><li>Immediate notification to PM of all problems or foreseeable issues throughoutconstruction, or any complaint presented by the general public.</li><li>Coordinate Material delivery between Customer Stockroom, and Contractor.</li><li>Inspect all project related construction material for damage and completeness for theproject execution.</li><li>Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, qualityand adherence to construction schedules.</li><li>Facilitate resolving construction problems, discrepancies, procedures, and methods byworking with engineering personnel, inspectors, contractors and suppliers. Must havestrong communications skills.</li><li>Minimize Change Orders. Support Project Manager to review any requested Change</li><li>Orders/Notices or other claims submitted by Construction Contractors which relate toadditional payments, schedule adjustments or other modifications to the Project, and make such recommendations to the PM regarding the legitimacy of such claims and review the</li><li>Construction Contractor’s proposed mitigation.</li><li>Review and understand the project documentation and any related documentation andprovide input to enhance the constructability of the Project, taking into account schedule,cost and quality considerations.</li><li>Maintain a daily on-site as-build project plans.</li><li>Continuously communicate (written and verbally) with the associated PM.</li><li>Adhere to company policies, programs and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure</li><li>Protection (CIP). Ensure all requirements are maintained throughout the projectexecution </li><li>Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.</li><li>Diligently ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.</li></ul>What we’re looking for:<ul><li>Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management </li><li>Two (2) years of college is preferred</li><li>Construction Project Engineer Background Preferred</li><li>Distribution line work experience required</li><li>MS Suite Required – with high competency in MS Excel</li><li>Knowledge of NRA clearances and switching orders would be beneficial</li><li>Applicants should have the knowledge, experience and skills needed to review project plans, specifications, contract enforcement, and applicable technical standards, OSHA and other regulatory statutes.</li><li>Detailed work experience in electrical Utility transmission UV/OV & civil construction</li><li>Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver License in good standing</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of supervisory capacity experience </li><li>Knowledge of GPS Systems & knowledge of SAP are preferred</li><li>Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings and convey interpretations to contractors</li><li>Ability to investigate and solve construction problems in a timely manner with minimum dependence on others</li><li>Computer and Administrative skills</li><li>Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Must be able and willing to attend training in E-STAR/CONVEX (switching and tagging).</li><li>Initiate distribution outage requests for project work through E-STAR and/or CONVEX.</li></ul>Pay Range $40—$46/an hourWhy Join K&A?
