The construction Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for developing and reviewing the Accident Prevention Plan, conducting activity hazard analyses, updating the plan as needed, providing on-site safety education, organizing toolbox safety meetings, ensuring overall safety compliance, and adopting a proactive, innovative approach to resolving site-specific safety challenges. Average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 4 years - Includes training for Competent Person status in at least the following areas: Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall Protection, Hazardous Energy, Confined Space, and Health Hazard Recognition, Evaluation, and Control of Chemical, Physical, and Biological Agents.
