Key ResponsibilitiesOwn daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L and balance sheet reporting for trading and/or investment productsPerform P&L control for crypto assets and derivatives including perpetual swaps, futures, vanilla and exotic optionsReconcile positions, trades, cash, and valuations across internal systems, custodians, exchanges, and counterpartiesInvestigate and resolve P&L, pricing, and position breaks; partner closely with Trading, Operations, and Technology teamsReview and validate fair value methodologies for both traditional and digital assetsSupport month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysisAssist with audits, regulatory reporting, and internal controls (SOX and SEC quarterly reporting)Help design, improve, and scale control and accounting processes as the business growsContribute to the development of policies related to digital asset accounting, custody, and risk controlsRequired Qualifications5–8 years of experience in TradFi product control, fund accounting, or financial accounting within financial servicesStrong background in financial products or crypto accountingDirect experience with crypto assets, digital asset trading, exchanges, or blockchain‑based productsSolid understanding of P&L attribution, balance sheet substantiation, and valuation principlesExperience working with complex data sets and multiple source systemsStrong Excel skills; experience with SQL or data tools is a plus not a requirementBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsCPA, CA, or equivalent certification is a plus not a requirementExperience at an investment bank, hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, crypto exchange, or digital asset managerFamiliarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS, including emerging guidance for digital assetsExperience scaling processes in a high‑growth or startup environmentWhat We're Looking ForHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to operate independently and take ownership in a fast‑paced environmentStrong communication skills and comfort partnering with front‑office and technical teamsInterest in bridging traditional finance best practices with the evolving crypto ecosystemPay Transparency NoticeDepending on your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $180,000 – $220,000 USD base salary.
