This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.<h3>Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and common areas</li><li>Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors</li><li>Empty trash and recycling and properly dispose of waste</li><li>Restock restrooms and cleaning supplies as needed</li><li>Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities</li><li>Follow established safety, cleaning, and sanitation procedures</li><li>Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>Custodial or related experience preferred, but not required</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds</li><li>Dependable attendance and strong work ethic</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience</li><li>Virginia Retirement System (VRS) benefits</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Paid holidays and leave</li></ul>This position may be filled or closed at the discretion of Bland County Public Schools prior to the posted closing date.</div>
