QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting [PREFERRED], Minimum of 5 years accounting experience required and experience in healthcare, nonprofit or public accounting experience a plus, Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting, Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred including invoicing, accounts receivable and reconciliations, Experience working with general ledger (GL) systems, or other similar major GL systems, Advanced computer skills required particularly with Word and Excel including experience with sorting, importing, exporting and manipulating large data files, CPA or other relevant accounting credential preferred but not required, Very detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills, Capable of working under tight time frame to complete the monthly financial close. Responsibilities as a Senior Accountant at Griffin Health, you will: Independently complete the monthly general ledger closing process for Planetree which includes preparation of all monthly journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations.
