Perform sanitary surveys of community and non-community public water systems to ensure compliance with state and federal drinking water regulations. Serve as a point of contact for water system operators, landowners, consultants, and local stakeholders regarding regulatory compliance and environmental concerns. Travel frequently to monitoring sites and public water systems across a 17-county service area using a state-provided vehicle. Maintain accurate field records, prepare reports, and enter data into digital systems and databases. Participate in investigations related to illegal discharges, water quality concerns, and drinking water complaints. Collaborate with internal teams, public officials, consultants, and community members to support environmental protection initiatives. Conduct fieldwork in rural locations, construction sites, and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Meteorology, Wildlife Biology, or a related field.
