Under the supervision of a Nursing faculty member (Course lead), the Teaching Associate (Clinical) provides clinical, laboratory, simulation, and/or classroom instruction for undergraduate nursing students; supervises and evaluates student performance; grading, examinations, and other instructional activities as assigned; collaborates with faculty and clinical agency personnel to support student learning; maintains compliance with CSUSB, California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), and clinical agency policies and procedures; and performs other related instructional duties as assigned. Candidates must be currently enrolled in or admitted to CSUSB Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); possess a current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license; have California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) approval as assistant instructor to serve as a clinical instructor at the time of appointment; have at least one year of continuous direct patient care experience as a registered nurse within the last five years (or as required by the California BRN); and demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
