Responsibilities: Understands the Epic system which allows them to effectively review, verify, and prioritize orders using the chart to ensure medications prescribed are the appropriate dose, frequency and administration times; drug allergies, drug-drug interactions, drug-disease and incompatibilities are avoided. Familiar with sterile compounding (overseeing/checking), order verification, checking sterile products, checking dose meds, checking Pyxis, fielding questions from patients/doctors, IV room, Ecmo, CRRT, consults, antibiotic dosing, etc.
