When assigned to field inspection, must possess mobility to work in changing site conditions; possess the strength, stamina, and mobility to perform light to medium physical work; to sit, stand, and walk on level, uneven, or slippery surfaces; to reach, twist, turn, kneel, and bend, to climb and descend ladders; and to operate a motor vehicle and visit various Port sites; vision to inspect site conditions and work in progress. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Coast Guard maritime security regulations (33 CFR Part 105), developing and maintaining Facility Security Plans, conducting security assessments, audits, drills, and training, and serving as the primary liaison with the Captain of the Port, terminal operators, vessel security officers, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
