Any of the following majors also qualify you for the position: Administration of Justice, African American Studies, Anthropology, Art/Dance Therapy, Behavioral Science, Child Development, Communication Disorders(Speech & Hearing), Community Affairs, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Drama Therapy, Dance Therapy, Economics, Education (all majors), Employee Relations, Employment Services, Family Relations, Geography, Gerontology, Government Management, Health or Health Education, History, HR Management, Human Behavior, Human Services, Movement Therapy, Music Therapy, Nursing (Health), Occupational Therapy, Organizational Management, Physical Therapy, Probation & Parole, Political Science, Psychology, Public Assistance, Public Relations, Rehabilitation or Rehab Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Social Services, Social Work/Welfare, Sociology, Speech Pathology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Urban Affairs, Vocational Education or Counseling, Women's Studies or Youth Development. A director shall have attained one of the following qualification levels: (1) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
