SUMMARY STATEMENTThe primary responsibilities of this position are [1] to provide direction and management oversight to the non-credit curricula ensuring that program offerings are compatible with today's employment needs and the needs of community; [2] to provide direction to Life-Long Learning programs; [3] coordinate Business & Industry, and Workforce Development resources to meet the training needs of area and regional employers; create and direct new and value-added training opportunities for the department. SKILLS AND ABILITIES :The Dean of Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education must have outstanding leadership qualities and possess a broad educational and service vision; strong supervisory and management skills; strong oral and written communication skills; competent to write grants and direct grant writing; ability to represent the college well in the community and the State; excellent interpersonal skills; and strong computer skills.
